Gain enhancement in Nd:glass laser amplifiers using electro-polished aluminum reflectors

This paper presents a comparative study of single pass gain of a Nd:glass laser amplifier using geometrically identical reflector cavities of different reflector materials or surface treatment. An improvement in the small-signal single-pass gain by a factor of 2 and 1.5 is observed for an electro-polished aluminum cavity over a gold-plated cavity and mechanically polished aluminum cavity, corresponding to an increase of 25% and 15% respectively in the pump coupling efficiency.     

Quantum phase transition in spin glasses with multi-spin interactions

We examine the phase diagram of the p-interaction spin glass model in a transverse field. We consider a spherical version of the model and compare with results obtained in the Ising case. The analysis of the spherical model, with and without quantization, reveals a phase diagram very similar to that obtained in the Ising case. In particular, using the static approximation, reentrance is observed at low temperatures in both the quantum spherical and Ising models. This is an artifact of the approximation and disappears when the imaginary time dependence of the order parameter is taken into account. The resulting phase diagram is checked by accurate numerical investigation of the phase boundaries.

水下充水圆柱声腔内声场自适应有源控制实验研究

本文研究了有限长充水圆柱置于水中，外声场透射形成的腔内声场自适应有源控制实验研究，结果显示，由于圆柱结构与水介质的耦合，有源控制中的声控制方法能够较好的抵消声腔主导模态和强耦合的结构主导模态，因而能够抵消在圆柱腔内较宽频带范围的声场，实验还研究了消声频带，误差传感器布放位置及肖声区域等问题。     

干涉原理在光子晶体中的应用

从理论和实验上分析了光子晶体环形腔的能量传输.在光子晶体中引入环形结构，以干涉原理为基础，改变其中的内部参数使之满足一定的条件，从而实现了频率的选择传输.用多重散射的方法计算了这种结构的透过谱，并与实验测得的透过谱进行了比较，两者相符较好. 关键词： 干涉原理 光子晶体 环形腔     

Thermoelastic Interactions without Energy Dissipation Due to a Point Heat Source

The linear theory of thermoelasticity without energy dissipation is employed to study thermoelastic interactions due to a continuous point heat source in a homogeneous and isotropic unbounded solid. The Laplace transform method is employed to solve the problem. Exact expressions, in closed form, for the displacement, temperature and stress fields are obtained. Numerical results for a copper-like material are presented. This revised version was published online in August 2006 with corrections to the Cover Date.

Stark效应对J-C模型腔场谱的影响

研究了计及Stark效应的J-C模型的腔场谱,通过求解本征方程导出了腔场谱的计算公式,给出了腔场处于光子数态时的数值结果,讨论了Stark效应和初始场强对标准J-C模型腔场谱的影响.发现在初始场为真空场时,两个Rabi峰的高度相等,随着Stark位移参数的增大,两峰都向低频方向移动,且频差逐渐增大;在初始场较强的情况下,Stark移动参数增大时会导致双峰的对称性消失,通过测量两峰的相对高度也可确定Stark位移参数的大小;在Stark效应较强初始场递增的情况下两峰仍向左移,但峰间距越来越小;在弱场情况下,Stark效应使两峰呈现左高右低或左低右高的峰结构.总之,改变Stark位移参数β1、β2的大小以及初始场强的强弱,可得到不同的谱线结构.
